Outdoor installation at the Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art, Staten Island, NY
Acrylic on canvas (144” x 30”); community writings on paper and canvas strips (144" x 3")

In Indian culture, reptitive writing (either a prayer or a wish) is a ritual that is meditative as well as helps clarify one’s thoughts. The canvas strips hold writings from the community who were asked to reflect on wisdom and compassion, and are handwritten in the form of a prayer, resolution or a wish in their chosen language. The canvas inspires us to embrace all forms of knowledge including nature and people around us.

This whole exhibit was curated and installed by Ms. Moorthy herself.
