Imagine Ellis Island festival is a yearly festival (started in 2017) organized by Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company to celebrate the diversity and contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders through performing arts. Visitors engage in a dialogue about immigration through art making. The chosen art activities display Asian traditions and are used as a metaphor to acknowledge the contribution of Asian culture into the American culture.
